Prices are shown per person in USD and include all in-country logistics: airport pickup, hotels in Islamabad and Skardu, domestic transfers, government trekking permits and park fees, certified local guides, porters, cooks, all camping equipment, and three meals daily on the trail. International flights, Pakistan visa fees, personal gear, travel insurance, and tips are not included. A 20% deposit secures your seat; the balance is due 60 days before departure.

How difficult is this trek and what fitness level do I need?

Karakoram treks are graded from Moderate to Extreme. As a rule of thumb, you should be able to hike 6-8 hours a day with a daypack on consecutive days, and be comfortable above 4,000m. We recommend 8-12 weeks of cardio and hill training before departure. Our small groups (max 8) and slow acclimatization schedule make hard routes achievable for fit, determined trekkers — no technical climbing skills are required on any trekking route.

The Karakoram trekking season runs from mid-June to mid-September. July and August offer the most stable weather and clearest views of K2 and the surrounding 8,000m peaks. June and September are quieter with fewer trekkers but carry a slightly higher chance of snow on high passes. Winter treks (December-February) are only possible on low-altitude cultural routes.
